Oleksandra Ishchenko

Find your footing.Live more freely.

I help adults cope with anxiety, burnout and relationship difficulties — gently, without judgement, using evidence-based methods.

Experience you can lean on

My approach was shaped not only at university. Clinical work with trauma in a hospital and internships in Europe and Asia taught me to see a person's difficulties from different angles. Today I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness to help you not only understand what is happening to you, but also change what keeps you from living the way you want.

    • Tension
    • Sense of danger

  • 04

    Emotion regulation

    • Strong reactions
    • Mood swings
    • Impulsivity

When one situation can throw you off balance for the whole day and emotions feel out of control. We'll learn to live through them without losing control of your actions.

  • 05

    Intrusive thoughts and OCD

    • Doubts
    • Checking
    • Seeking reassurance

When even after the tenth check the calm doesn't last. We'll work on tolerating doubt without constant checking and looking for guarantees.

  • 06

    Relationships and self-esteem

    • Self-criticism
    • Fear of judgment
    • Personal boundaries

When you spend hours analyzing your words, fear others' judgment or put their needs above your own. We'll learn to act more confidently in relationships and depend less on others' approval.

Hi! I'm Oleksandra, a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist.

Oleksandra Ishchenko, clinical psychologist

Perhaps you already understand a lot about yourself. You know why you feel anxious, where certain reactions come from, what you should be doing differently. But when it matters, you still fall back into old patterns. Because understanding yourself and being able to change something are not the same thing.

That difference is what interests me most in therapy. I love getting into the details, noticing connections that aren't obvious at first, and finding together with you what exactly keeps the difficulties going. And then trying new ways of acting — not only in sessions, but in everyday life.

The most valuable moments for me are when you start noticing these changes yourself. When you dare to do what you used to avoid. When one unpleasant situation no longer takes up the whole day. When you have more energy for what truly matters to you.

And for that you don't need to come with a clearly defined problem or know the right way to talk about it. You can start with your own story. And I'll help you figure out what to do next.

How therapy works with me

  1. 01

    First, we figure things out

In our first sessions I want to hear your story and understand what troubles you most right now. We'll look at how these difficulties affect your life and why they may keep coming back. Together we'll decide what to work on and where to start.

  2. 02

    From understanding to change

We won't stop at explanations. We'll try new ways of responding to difficult situations and work with habits, thoughts and behavior. Sometimes I'll suggest small tasks between sessions so you can gradually bring new skills into your life.

  3. 03

    Coping on your own

My goal isn't for you to always need therapy. It's for you to understand your reactions better over time, know what helps you in particular, and be able to use it without me. We'll notice your progress and decide together when it's time to finish our work.

Common questions

Didn't find your answer? Write to me — I'm happy to help.

If something is bothering you, draining your energy or getting in the way of living the way you want — that's enough. You don't have to wait until things get “bad enough”.

Yes. Everything you share stays between us. The only exceptions are situations where a life is at risk — I'll explain these in our first session.

Sessions take place by video call. All you need is a stable connection and a quiet place where you feel comfortable talking.

It depends on your goals. A specific issue often takes 8–12 sessions, while deeper work can take longer. We'll regularly check in on how things are going.

Just write to me at least 24 hours in advance and we'll find another time. Sessions cancelled later are charged in full.
